3+ years ago, Zach and Abby took a chance on a dating website. That chance landed them at Founders on a Friday night. There were a few beers drank and then they went their separate ways! They had the best conversations, and both found each other attractive and interesting. The following day, Zach invited Abby to a bonfire with a group of his friends. Although Abby was unsure of meeting some of his friends so quickly, she wanted to get to spend more time with Zach so she invited a friend and went to the bonfire! Ever since that weekend there has been very few days spent apart [aside from Zach's jet setting!] Since then, the past 3 years has been filled with growth for both of them, and they feel lucky to be one another's support system. There isn't anything better than getting to hangout with your best friend (and with Goose of course) every single day, and they are so excited to continue their adventure together for the rest of their lives!

Zach's family spends a week at Wilderness State Park over the 4th of July, which is one of Abby and Zach's favorite weeks of the year. They had been talking about visiting a few site seeing locations in the UP for quite some time, and decided to make a trip up to Tahquamenon Falls before everyone arrived to Wilderness. The plan was for them to head there on Friday, but a number of circumstances [some of their amazing friends visiting from Arizona] led them to actually arrive to Tahquamenon Falls on Sunday. Zach had purchased a drone for the week, and decided to bring it along at the Falls. He flew the drone at the Upper Falls, and then decided they should hike to the Lower Falls. Once they finally reached their destination after an unexpected 4 mile hike, Zach took out the drone to take some photos of the Falls and a photo of the two of them. They hiked a bit further to a small island at the bottom of the Falls to avoid the crowds of people, and that's when Zach got down on one knee. Abby practically blacked out and doesn't remember a word that was said, but she did of course say YES! They celebrated for awhile just the two of them at Tahquamenon Falls Brewery, then spent the rest of the week celebrating with their families. It was absolutely perfect!
