Final Fantasy YVLX

Delta is rapidly taking over Allegheny county. Here is what we are ALL going to do to remain safe: I) Do NOT attend if you have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. Do NOT attend if you are feeling unwell in any way. II) Wear a mask!! Protect yourself and others whenever possible! Obviously there's eating and drinking to be had and plenty of outdoor space to catch a break. However, masks will be provided for EVERYONE for use indoor. III) COVID testing is available at many CVS & Rite-Aid locations with same day appointments, walk-ins and drive-thru! We will be getting tested the week of and staying safe until then. IV) Much of the cocktail hour (5:30), ceremony (6:15), and dinner (6:45? 7?) will be enjoyed outdoors! The Mattress Factory has several tents that will be set up on the patio, big bay doors into the indoor space that will be open all night, and plenty of room to spread out or even wander the museum by yourself or with a friend! The after dinner dancing will have plenty of room indoor and outdoor to just vibe how you like. No obligation to stay beyond your comfort. V) Dinner will be a SERVED buffet. We have asked Yinzburgh BBQ to remain with us for the duration of dinner service and fill plates and they have graciously agreed! Please be patient and kind to ALL of our hosts, including MF Staff and Ace Bartending. Mind the line and don't crowd each other. VI) Respect everyone's personal space and boundaries! Please ask before making physical contact or otherwise greet each other safely! I can't imagine a wedding without hugs and kisses, so I'm not forbidding physical contact, but please do so safely and respectfully. If anyone asks for a little space or for you to wear your mask, simply comply! 🧡 VII) We are expecting 80-90 guests. Probably less now. Your risk assessment is your own. We understand if you cannot attend and we love you.

Yvette & Alex invite our dear friends & family to an exhibition of love & commitment at the Mattress Factory Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Please join us for cocktails, snacks & mingling about the museum. Our Ceremony will begin shortly thereafter, words of love & support will be shared. A dinner of authentic southern barbecue will be served, with several Vegan options & choices for children! Save room for cake! As night falls, the party begins, be prepared to kick off your heels & dance! DJs YVLX have prepared a special celebration of dance music: sing-along pop rock, hip-swinging disco, house, & techno vibes. Ravers welcome! Who will help us host the afters? This night is also a celebration of Art in all its forms, many elements of our wedding have been collected from various local artists & artisans. So too are our guests works of art & artists in their own right! This is your opportunity to have your unique creativity, talent, fashion, design, craft, etc. displayed in a prestigious art museum for a one-night only exhibition! We are accepting gifts in the form of artistic expression of any kind! Feel free to bring us a song, painting, film, photo, coloring book page, performance, poem, or just your beautiful bountiful self! We value our relationships & connections above all; we would love to have art from our loved ones to cherish for the rest of our lives together. For those who express their artistry through the medium of material gifts, a traditional registry is also available. Please dress as comfortably and/or stylishly as you like! Casual, classy, cocktail, cool, cosplay, snazzy jammies, fursuits, fashionistas, disco darlings, the interpretation is entirely up to you! (Reminder that this is an all ages event, but children are the most creative of all, let them pick their outfit, parents! No fussing & fighting in a clip-on tie required!) We want to see you as your wonderful, unique selves. Bring your dancing shoes! We look forward to seeing you all!

Our wedding has been postponed, delayed, & uncertain for some time; we do apologize for the short notice. The world continues to turn, the clouds are clearing, things seem more certain now. Throughout all, our commitment to each other and to each of you has remained steady. We can now confidently invite you all together to celebrate love and art and food and fun with us! We also deeply value your health and well-being. For your part, we ask you to please be vaccinated against COVID-19 or simply stay home. Use these next 2 months to your advantage. Protect yourself and then come party with us! If you are feeling unwell, and uncertain about attending, please stay home and get well soon or at the very least wear a mask. These are our expectations for our loved ones, as we are devoted to keeping everyone safe and comfortable! We understand that some of you may not be able to attend for whatever reason, you will be missed but not forgotten! Considering how enthusiastic we are about getting married to each other and to have a lovely party, we may just have a party every year! You can always catch the next YVLX-Fest!
