Yuri: Mingi and I have been together for over 9 years. We met at a school club at Virginia Tech and we were in school together for 1 year until we did long distance for about 6 years. Mingi was too scared to ask me out so I had to make the first move. During our first date at Chipotle, Mingi tried so hard to make me laugh and keep the date entertaining. After that we went to watch a horrible movie and Mingi was again too scared to make a move so I held his hand during the movie. The date ended with two bad kisses. Since then, we've been traveling the world, eating good food, and going on beautiful hikes. Next plan after the wedding is to bring in a little furry baby into the family! Mark: It’s actually been only over 8 years, but come wedding time it’ll be October 2024. We met in a school club in college, but I honestly don’t remember meeting Yuri during club activities. First time I noticed Yuri was at a friend’s board game night. After several encounters with her and some texting we made plans to go out to dinner and a movie (Yuri didn’t make the first move, our friend did it for us). We ate Chipotle for dinner, and ended up watching a very strange non-scary horror flick. Date felt like a flop, but now I’m like 80% sure it worked. Later that night, I had to do a group project, but didn’t get much done because I kept replaying our date. After a month or so, we made things official. Since then, we’ve been seeing the world, failing at our diets, and doing some light outdoors exercise. Next plan after the wedding is to add a cat to our family!
