The rehearsal dinner will feature a buffet but it will not have assigned seating so you can schmooze more!
Yes to both! However, The Union Club is very private so please don’t tag the club or say the location.
Smart casual! The smart casual dress code combines casual and professional elements. It is typically well-fitting, polished, and versatile so for ladies this could include nice pants and a blouse, a skirt and a fun top or a cocktail dress also works. For gentlemen, there is a little less wiggle room as The Cos Club requires a jacket and collared shirt.
Black tie optional! This is a dress code that requires guests to dress up, but is slightly less formal than black tie. So tuxedos and long gowns are encouraged but formal suits and cocktail dresses are also great. The Union Club is very strict about dress codes so absolutely no sneakers are allowed and men must wear their jackets throughout the cocktail hour and should try to keep it on until they are cutting it loose on the dance floor!
Guests staying over at the club who are not in proper club attire cannot walk around the public areas. They must use the elevator to the B level to exit & enter the building. The doorman will direct them if they have questions.
To get from the church to the reception at The Union Club you can take a short cab ride or Uber or walk to 86th Street and take the 6, N or Q to 68th street and then walk to the corner of 69th and Park where The Union Club is located. And if you have comfortable shoes on you could walk! It should take about half an hour.
