Our venue, Hope Glen Farm, is taking extra precautions through the Covid-19 pandemic. Guests’ temperatures will be checked upon arrival, and each adult will be asked to sign a waiver attesting that he/she is not currently experiencing symptoms of the illness. A Hope Glen employee will be re-sanitizing high-touch surfaces such as handles and railings every half hour. Per local regulations, face masks are required indoors. If you’re interested in more details on the precautions the venue has implemented, please check out their website. Search for "Hope Glen Farm Covid-19 Procedures."
We plan to celebrate with joy while guarding our guests’ health. Wedding events will be almost entirely outdoors. The ceremony will be outdoors in a field, and the reception will be in a covered pavilion which is open on three sides. There will be optional dancing indoors with facemasks. Weather in October in Minnesota can be warm, but also a bit unpredictable. Plan to bring a fall jacket or evening coat to stay warm. There is outdoor heating in the dining pavilion.
If you are unable to attend due to the need to take a higher level of health precautions than we are able to provide at the event, please know that we love and support you! And we will very much miss getting to celebrate with you in person. We are exploring whether it will be possible to livestream any part of the day--perhaps the ceremony, and toasts at the reception. At the very least, please know that you are welcome to attend via video call with a friend who is in attendance in person. We empower you to organize with each other! And, if you need help finding a virtual attendance buddy, please reach out to us.
There are lots of beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy at the venue. There are wide fields and beautiful trees, a deck for cocktail hour, a fire pit, and even a few goats to pet! Guest vehicles may be left overnight at the venue until 9am the next morning. A note regarding social media: Feel free to take photos and post them! We request that you do not livestream any part of the ceremony or reception without our permission ahead of time. But, certainly, one-to-one video calls with guests invited to the wedding but unable to attend in person are fine and encouraged. Thank you kindly!
