La Rogativa Address: Plazuela de la Rogativa Caleta de las Monjas San Juan, PR, 00901. Hidden away to the right side of Puerto Rico's governor's mansion, La Fortaleza, you'll find La Rogativa sculpture. With one of the best views of the San Juan Bay, the sculpture commemorates a women-led religious procession that took place in 1797. The legend goes that the British Armada was planning to invade San Juan, but were spooked away by hundreds of torches that they saw on land and believing that they were reinforcements they halted their invasion.
The ceremony starts at 4:30 pm. We will appreciate it if everyone is situated by 4:20 😉
