What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

“The dress code for our wedding is black-tie (formal/cocktail) attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie.”

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

“In October, Montebello typically experiences moderate temperatures and high rainfall. Anticipate daytime temperatures around 13°C, while night temperatures can drop to 3°C. Bring a jacket or warm layers if the weather gets chilly or an umbrella to get from the parking lot into our reception venue if rain is in the forecast.”

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

“Join us at Chateau Montebello for the ceremony by the river at 4pm. The cocktail will follow at 5pm, outside if weather permits, next to the reception room otherwise. The reception will be at the Canada room, on the second floor of the lobby at 6pm.”

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

“1h20min by car from Montreal 50min by car from Ottawa”

What time should I arrive?

Answer

“Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.”

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

“Outdoor self-parking for guests is included in the Resort Experience Fee. Outdoor self-parking for non-hotel guests is $25 per day plus taxes. It does not include in-and-out privileges. Valet parking is available for $39 per day plus taxes. It includes unlimited in-and-out privileges. Charging stations are available for Teslas and other electric vehicles.”

Can I bring a plus one?

“Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.”

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

“We have a hotel room block, for about C$369. You can book using our link to enjoy the discounted price at https://book.passkey.com/e/50543484. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

“Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before August 30th. You can email back the card enclosed in your invitation or simply RSVP right here on our wedding website.”

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

Answer

“After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by the hotel's signature sangria.”

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

“At the reception, you will be served the main course you picked: meat, fish, or vegetarian. Please provide us with your choice by August 30th. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with bubbles. Wine will be served at the table and you will be given coupons to use for cocktails at the bar. Non-alcoholic options will be available.”

Answer

“Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area before or after the wedding.”
