The two of us met at a Halloween party at Collin College. I was part of a Christian group and she was with Collin’s gaming club. I wasn’t the kind of person that liked being at parties for too long. At one point during the party, I joined the gamers off to the side, where Caitlin was. Mark fit in perfectly with the friends I was with, and he decided to join our club. After seeing each other on a regular basis, we grew much closer than we ever thought we would.
On Christmas Eve, I took Caitlin to Macaroni Grill, where we first decided to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. Once we finished dinner, I brought out a red velvet bundt cake for desert. I gave her an early Christmas present, that being a framed picture I made with several of her favorite fictional characters. Underneath the frame Mark gave me was a note asking if I’d marry him in the form of a Gravity Falls reference, which I definitely loved. He was already on one knee opening a Pokeball ring box by the time I saw it, and my answer - Absolutely!
