What currency does Taiwan use?

Answer

NTD or New Taiwan Dollar. It's about 30 NTD to 1 USD. Keep in mind Taiwan is a cash heavy economy, so take some out of the ATM when you get here. And if using a credit card, given a choice between USD and TWD/NTD, I would recommend you pick NTD, you get a better exchange rate in my experience.

Taiwan will be 16 hours ahead from Seattle time in December. So add four and flip am/pm.

A suit if you can for the gentlemen. A nice cocktail dress or a gown if you can swing one for the ladies.
