We're getting married!

It was creeping up on the 2017 holiday season and Gram was getting quite frustrated at me for not giving her a wish list yet for Christmas. There really wasn't anything I could think of, so I turned to the Black Friday flyers to find something that would be nice to have but had a nice sale coming up. I landed on the Xbox One, which was an upgrade to the 360 I had already, and wrote down a couple of games that I knew I would enjoy playing. Well, Christmas came and she did get me the Xbox, a couple of games I'd listed and a couple that the guy in the electronic section had mentioned would be good too, one of which was the game Overwatch. Well, up until then I had never really engaged in many multiplayer games, so I was very hesitant but wanted to give it a try because she got it for me, so I did. It took me a while to get used to it, and even longer to start actually talking to the other people I was playing with, but I did enjoy it and did eventually find a group of people to play with. Then one night, April 18th of 2018 to be exact, myself and one of my new friends were online trying to get past a new mission when we were matched up with a new stranger who was helpful and nice. We added each other as friends and spent the next several weeks trying to beat harder and harder levels together while getting to know each other. I don't often believe in fate, but all those little small things that lined up just right and now we have a home together, as well as a beautiful German Shephard/Belgian Malinois dog who is a pain in the butt, but also loves us with his whole heart and is the sweetest boy. We are excited to start the next chapter of our lives and all the joy and new experiences that brings to us.
