Amicalola Falls State Park (18 miles, 23 min) has Amicalola Falls, the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi, at over 700 feet in height. There is a trail with stairs which allows you to hike from bottom to top of the falls (or reverse). There is also a parking lot halfway up the ridge that gives you a wheelchair/handicap accessible path to the falls. At the top of the falls is a beautiful lodge with fantastic views. Amicalola is also home to the 5 mile walk-up trail to the Appalachian Trailhead on Springer Mountain. Also has adventure activities.

On weekends it has a full range of activities - hay rides, petting farm, live music, apple cannon, etc. Just like most of the orchards it has a market/bakery with a wide range of delicious treats - apples, fruits, pies, donuts, cider, etc.
