Have you ever heard of a Bumble success story? If you had told me that when I was creating my Bumble profile I would soon meet the love of my life, I would've told you that there was no way. Little did I know that while I was lying in my bed swiping left and right, I would soon swipe right on my future husband and best friend. On March 21st, 2021 I was packing my suitcase to spend a week with my friends in Florida, I was leaving the next day. While scrolling through Bumble I came across a profile of a guy comparing himself to Spongebob when he took Pearl to prom and I thought it was so hilarious. We get to talking and we bond over our love of Sponge Bob and Fortnite. I take a leap of faith and ask him if he wants to Facetime and play Fortnite together. Thankfully he agrees and we play for what seems like hours and get back-to-back battle royals. I don't even know how it happened but believe it or not we spent the ENTIRE night talking, giggling, and getting to know each other. I've never connected with someone so effortlessly and I have never felt a connection so strong and so fast. 6 am comes and it's time for me to get on my flight, we say our goodbyes and hang up. I fall asleep for my 2-and-a-half-hour flight and seriously wonder... did I just meet my future husband?

I remember setting up my Bumble profile and putting a stupid Spongebob joke on it just thinking no one is gonna get this. I was so close to giving up on online dating but I just decided to keep going. And then I came across this girl with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. It lit me up and her smile made me smile so I swiped right. I remember her message when we matched and her actually laughing at my terrible joke in my bio and I immediately felt understood for the first time. We hit it off right away. It never felt so easy to talk to someone. We talked on the phone all night, laughed, and played Fortnite. It was the best night of my life. I hadn’t ever felt so comfortable or had that much fun with anybody ever in my life. I loved everything about her. I remember watching a Grizzlies game and if you know me you know that not much can distract me from watching a Grizzlies game. But she did exactly that. She captivated me from night one. I fell in love with her beautiful smile and her silly sense of humor immediately. We talked and laughed all night and in the morning I remember thinking she’s the one.
