Teresa and Xavier's sister were coworkers at the time, back in 2016. Over the course of a year, and what started off as playful talk to go out on a date with her brother, fantasy quickly turned into reality after persuading both her brother and coworker to go out on a double date. So on this one night, Xavier's sister, brother in law, Xavier and Teresa went out to sushi, which was slightly awkward but fun to say the least! Shortly after the dinner finished, Xavier asked Teresa out on second date, and on that second date they both were surprised at how much they had in common, how easy it was to talk to each other, and how similar their goals and ambitions were in life. The rest is history and till this day, Xavier's sister will forever be known as the matchmaker and start of this couple's love story!

On a trip to Thailand, the couple was on a Phi Phi island tour, a small group of islands located off the tip of Phuket. The tour stopped on an island where they had lunch and decided to walk around and sightsee. Xavier found a semi private beach with a gorgeous view, and pretended to set up his camera. Little did she know, he was actually recording video, and it was on that beach that Xavier asked Teresa to marry him.
