On a wintry February day in 2015, Wyatt decided to head to Meron's to watch some hockey. On the same day, Katie was supposed to get a manicure with Steph. But Steph changed the plans and asked Katie to meet her at Meron's, with Kelly and Melissa. Katie said no at first because the roads were awful and she wanted to stay in comfy clothes. But then she changed out of her comfy clothes and was ready to brave the snowy weather for a drink. But then Steph called Katie and told her not to go to Meron's because they were all heading out. So Katie changed back into comfy clothes. But then Steph called her back a few minutes later and told her to stop by because they were all staying! Boy was it tempting to just stay home. But Katie changed one more time and headed over to Meron's. When she walked in, Steph told her that they had met someone for her. Katie was appalled. She did not like setups. But she glanced toward the end of the bar and saw a tall, handsome guy watching hockey. She was still annoyed, but that feeling quickly faded when that hockey guy sat down next to her and said hello. They talked for the next 4 hours at that bar. They exchanged numbers and hugged goodbye at the end of the night. The next morning, Wyatt asked Katie to dinner. Katie said yes. They had their very first date just four days after meeting. They had their second and third dates that very same week. They have been together ever since. In July of 2017 they moved to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. In April of 2019 they eloped. In November of 2019 they welcomed their beautiful baby boy. In June of 2021 they moved to Maryland. In October of 2024 they will finally be able to celebrate their love with all of you.
