McMenamins Edgefield is a place very dear to Samantha and her family - We hope you find it to be the same for you, too! Built in 1911 as the county poor farm, historic Edgefield is a destination resort in the Pacific Northwest. In the stately main building, there are over 100 guestrooms and hostel accommodations - additionally the verandas have many, many rocking chairs, encouraging tranquility. Explore the grounds with a pint in hand! Flowers, vines and shrubs tumble and twine through gardens, a soaking pool shelters under towering trees, and glass blower and potter craft their wares onsite. When your meanderings take you indoors, make sure to check out the extensive artwork covering the walls (the pipes, too!). Edgefield’s 74 acres include: Distillery, Brewery, Winery, Hidden Bars, Spa, Soaking Pool, Golf Course, Movie Theater, and Live Music around the fire.
An amazing view off the historic highway. This is the spot our engagement photos were taken. We recommend a scenic drive to this point and back from the metro area.
