Maid of Honor
One of my very best friends since freshman Alter High School basketball. She brings out the weirdest in everyone she meets, she insults you when she loves you, and she is the most solid friend I've ever had.
Best Man
Benj became one of my closest friends after we lived together during the summer after our sophomore year at UD. Our love for the Buffalo Bills, Miami Vices, and Tin Roof are unparalleled.
Maid of Honor
We became fast friends in Marycrest 3SW and navigated the greatest college experience together. Reese is my most thoughtful friend - she has been known for sending 300 pencils to my classroom, mailing me handwritten notes, and venmo-ing me money for a meal while I travel! The best.
Best Man
Joe has been one of my best friends since grade school. We're the Ballwin Boys and we always reign supreme over Crestwood. We have celebrated every Festivus together since I can remember.
Bridesmaid
Chloe (and her Dad) introduced me to the Avett Brothers in high school so I knew we would have to be close forever! Some highlights of our friendship: jamming out to Florence and the Machine in car rides, supporting each other across the country and world, and almost always choosing to be on the same side of Sunday Dinner arguments.
Groomsman
Conor is one of the boys. We started to hang out once he was a freshman at UD and he has become such a good friend. I'll never forget playing Shot Darts, and he's the only one that can get me to go to Skyline at 3AM.
Bridesmaid
We got super tight after braving an 80 mile hike together on the El Camino de Santiago. Abbey was my biggest confidant as we journeyed through student teaching and the first years of teaching high school together. She is a big supporter and encourager and always reminds me of the good in others.
Groomsman
Evan and I almost never became friends after he swatted me in the chest during high school basketball tryouts, but I am very thankful we did. Evan is an awesome friend who I probably spent the most time with in high school, whether it was playing FIFA or cruising in his Skylark.
Bridesmaid
Katie B. has taught me to love myself, to love the Earth, and to immerse myself in different cultures to learn from others. She is one of the most passionate people I know and she finds the best in each person. She is known for being super down to Earth and hanging up embroidery that says things like "Girls just want to have FUNdamental rights!"
Groomsman
I love Frank. We always have the best times together whether it is riding bikes, eating Korean BBQ, or chilling with his dog Flex. He hates to talk on the phone but I like to think that he makes an exception for me since we are such close friends. I can always count on him to show me an amazing time when I visit Chicago and he lets me stay in his basement even though we both know it's haunted.
Bridesmaid
I didn't really hang out with Briar until senior year when I moved into 1903 Trinity with her. I used to think she was crazy - and I still do (but the best kind)! She is my funniest friend and always has everyone around her buying into her theatrics. She is also brilliant, compassionate, and always looking to learn and grow.
Groomsman
Tyler Tepe is the only person crazy enough to go one for one with me with boxing gloves. We lived together every summer during our time at UD and then again after we both moved to Cincinnati. He is also the only person who would sleep on couches in the living room with me rather than our own beds.
Bridesmaid
She convinced me to live with her sophomore year at UD after knowing her for a week. Emily was the winner of the Star Award in high school and is a talented pianist. She makes me laugh, she keeps it real, and she has supported the Swood & Matt partnership fervently since day 1 (when Matt was referred to as "bicycle boy")!
Groomsman
Bardo and I immediately hit it off freshmen year at UD when we lived right across the hall from each other. Even though we argued over FIFA until 3AM until we got yelled at by the R.A., we liked each other enough to live together for the next 3 years. He is such a close friend and I'll always miss sharing a room together.
Bridesmaid
My adventurous, Brave Little Toaster-loving, tom-boy best friend for life. Katie and I's first play date was to Cox Arboretum in first grade. We have had fun together, and I've done her homework for her, ever since!
Groomsman
Dan and I went to the same high school but I don't think we ever spoke to each other, so we figured we'd be the perfect roommates for our freshmen year at UD. Our idea worked out because he became one of my really amazing friends. I think we were the only students ever to get out of a write-up by straight up denying the charge.
