Megan and Kristen have been friends since middle school in Tipp City, OH. They were field commanders together and that is when their friendship took off! Megan attended Miami University with Kristen and they went through all the fun trials and tribulations of college together. They took care of each other in tough times being each others "moms". Kristen is blessed to be the Godmother of Megan's two children, Kainen and Maven.
Rhyanna Hallauer
Maid of Honor
Rhyanna and Kristen met in Mrs. Zerkle's 4th grade class at LT Ball Intermediate School. They also had the joy of being in Mrs. McClurg's class, it was a wild time! Rhyanna and Kristen are always able to pick up where they left off with every visit, or 4th of July parties, even though Kristen was bound to get injured. They also had an ADVENTURE on the 6th grade trip to Chicago, being roommates was the best decision! Kristen is grateful for Rhyanna's support throughout college, drum corps, and life.
Tyler Hughes
Best Man
Tyler and Adam met while in marching band together at Carlisle High School. They immediately became best friends and would constantly hang out during their high school years. Throughout college and as they have moved into their careers, they have always found time to get together, whether it be a New Years Eve party, a birthday party, or just another excuse to play darts and drink beers.
Karson Estep
Groomsman
Karson and Adam met while doing indoor drum line at Carlisle High School. Adam cold called Karson in an attempt to get him to go to the hot new "club" in town called frabelz (not even sure if thats spelled right). It was essentially a club for kids under 18 years old (I know, it sounds like a terrible idea). All though they never were able to march DCI together, they were able to hangout at shows throughout the summer.
Maddie Wessel
Bridesmaid
Maddie and Kristen met through the MUMB (Miami University Marching Band), but really hit things off when they worked at Rhythm X Inc together. Maddie has been a great mentor for Kristen, particularly through student teaching and her first 2 years as a band director. Maddie and Kristen never fail to have a bad time, as they are classic German women and always find their way to an Oktoberfest...or a zoo! 🍻
Eva Toppen
Bridesmaid
Eva and Kristen also met through the MUMB. They spent many days eating bowls of buttered corn (butter me up), watching Law & Order SVU together, and snugging one of their dogs in The Yellow House. Eva is always down for anything and is the kindest person you will ever meet! Kristen even had the privilege of playing a small part in Eva and her wife, Emma, dating because Emma was Kristen's Snare when she was on the cymbal line.
Chris Luther
Groomsman
Chris and Adam met while marching Blue Stars in 2015, but their relationship really came to life in 2016 when they had the chance to march an entire summer together. After aging out, Adam and Kristen have made numerous trips out to California to hangout with Chris and his wife Alexis. Chris has also played a huge role in helping Adam pursue his career as a pilot, by always being there to answer questions, and give advice.
Will MacTavish
Groomsman
Will and Adam became friends while marching in the snareline at Blue Stars in 2016 & 2017. They were seat partners in 2017, which led to a lot of tomfoolery, especially the night of Will's 21st birthday. Since marching together, Adam has been out to California to hangout on numerous occasions, including one where Will dropped everything he was doing to come pickup Adam from a random Starbucks near LAX.
