We’re getting married!

As all fairytales go, they met online at the very start of COVID. Going out on the town was out of the question so instead, Chris came over to Lily's apartment and they made Gordon Ramsey's scrambled eggs. After their awkward first date, Lily wasn't too sure about Chris but when he left her apartment after their second date, she called her best friend, Katelyn, and told her maybe Chris wasn't so bad after all... thus began their love story.

Chris and Lily took a trip with Lily's family up to Chicago for her little sister, Julia's, college graduation. We checked with Julia to make sure it was alright to get engaged on her graduation weekend and she gave us her blessing! We got engaged in the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Chicago and a pair of the kindest complete strangers took some photos for us! We got lost trying to find the Lily Pool, Lily left her phone back at the hotel, Chris forgot what his speech was going to be, Lily forgot to take her hands out of her pockets to have the ring put on, and we were running late for our own engagement dinner - it was a disaster and it was absolutely, positively perfect for us.
