How will we check into the boat?
Answer
You will need to arrive early; boarding at 5:15 pm. There will be someone there checking our wedding guest list to confirm wedding guest vs. public. *Public guests should not be entering boat until 6 pm.

What is the attire?
Answer
Black-Tie Optional; it is a dress code that allows guests to choose between wearing a tuxedo/dinner jacket (black tie) or a dark business suit for men, and a full length dress or a similar formal outfit for women *preferred not required

Can I bring a date?

We have worked hard to include as many friends and family as we can in our celebration, but space is obviously limited. We ask that you not bring a date unless your invitation indicates otherwise.

Yes, but we are keeping the invited children limited to our wedding party.

Did you book a block of hotel rooms?

We have reserved a block at the same hotel we are staying in: The River Street Inn. Link provided in Travel Tips or call to mention Kirby-Griffith Wedding. We also have a discounted link to two other hotels: Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District and Holiday Inn Express both on East Bay street.

Yes, but the boat only sails from 7-9 pm and it is really barely noticeable.

12 miles; just uber or lyft if you are flying from out of town.

Could I uber to the boat?
Answer
Yes but most of the hotels are along River Street and/or East Bay Street so you may be able to walk pending your shoe selection :)

Is there parking on River Street?
Answer
No, there are garages off of East/West Bay street then it's a walk down stairs/cobblestones to River Street. I'd advise that you try to book a hotel near or on River Street with easy access.

What if we are late to the boat for the ceremony?
Answer
Shame shame! Ceremony starts at 5:30 and lasts til 6 then cocktail hour and reception begin. If you do not want to stay for full reception....we do not set sail til 7 pm. We arrive back into harbor before 9 pm.

Can I leave the reception and wander the boat?
Answer
Yes, by all means please explore, take pictures, and enjoy your evening! The remaining decks are open to the public so you may run into other non-wedding guests.
