We're Getting married!

The week of December 17, 2021 was a very eventful week for Myles. He had two life changing events on his mind... proposing to Erin and deciding where he was going to finish out his college football career. Myles knew he was ready to propose to Erin on that Friday no matter where football took him. After weeks of meetings with coaches and weighing out the pros and cons, Myles decided to return to LSU for one final year. Erin and Myles were both so excited to stay in Baton Rouge for a little longer! Friday, December 17th seemed like a very normal and chaotic day of teaching 1st grade for Erin. Myles texted her during the school day to let her know that he was asked to be in an interview at the stadium with LSU's head coach. Since Myles had just decided to return to LSU that week, it was not far fetched! Erin was ecstatic for this cool opportunity for Myles and was so excited to be invited to go with him. After school, Erin rushed home to quickly get ready. When Myles picked Erin up to head to the stadium, Erin thought he seemed a little more nervous than normal for an interview. A LSU football employee told us that the interview was going to be on the opposite side of the stadium from the locker room. He said we had no choice but to walk all the way across the field. Erin and Myles entered an empty Tiger Stadium and headed towards the opposite end zone. It was not until Myles stopped Erin at the 50 yard line that she quickly realized that there was no interview at all. Myles got down on one knee and asked Erin to be his wife. Erin said, "YES!" without any hesitation. After an unforgettable proposal, Tiger Stadium is now an even more special place to Erin and Myles than it ever was before!

Erin and Myles met in a very modern-day way... on Twitter. Erin was at home for the summer and Myles was just beginning his first year of summer training for LSU football. After a few weeks of texting and Facetiming, Myles asked Erin to come back to Baton Rouge so he could take her on a date. Erin and Myles hit it off immediately! Thinking back to this day, they both knew that each other were something very special. After the first date, Erin and Myles consistently hung out for months. On March 30, 2018, right after a spring break trip to 30A with friends, Myles decided to make it official! From there, the rest is history! Myles and Erin have been inseparable since!
