Jarrett and Ciera's love story started like most college love stories, around 3 am. Unlike your typical college love story, they didn't meet spontaneously in some bar. They met when Jarrett showed up 30 minutes late to work with a dirtbike on a trailer attached to his Volkswagon Jetta. What are they doing at 3 am with a dirtbike, you ask? Well, Ciera was just milking cows while Jarrett was preparing to leave right after feeding cows to go riding. Through their years of college, at UW Platteville, they had multiple classes and shifts at the Pioneer farm together. So began their adventure among homework, cows, and drinks, and they began to fall in love. After a year their love story officially started on homecoming weekend in 2018 when Ciera said to Jarrett, "You can ask me to be your girlfriend now, and I won't say no." To which he replied, "I kind of just assumed you were." From there on, they were pretty much inseparable. From Ciera conning Jarrett into feeding stubborn calves and helping her with her Feeds and Feeding homework, to Jarrett getting Ciera in the passenger seat of his Jetta, with his other girlfriend on the trailer behind. They got each other through graduation, moving, switching jobs, and figuring out life every day. In 2020 they bought their first house and found jobs they love- Ciera a CVT at Brodhead Vet and Jarrett at Industrial Combustion. They have spent the majority of their free time traveling in the camper with their two dogs to almost every District 16 dirtbike race. While traveling to the UP for one of their favorite races at Xmas Moto Sports they decided to go on a hike at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. After a 3-mile hike, they made it to Chapel Rock, it was there that Jarrett proposed. Now they will always remember, the 21st. night of September.
