We first met each other in our American Literature class at St. Johns River State College while we were both pursuing our A.A. degrees back in 2017. After both graduating from there, we went on to separate universities, Florida State University and the University of Central Florida. This meant we had to do long-distance and we ended up making the 4-hour drive between Orlando and Tallahassee almost every weekend. Joey proposed one summer afternoon in 2021 while we were having a picnic at Camp Chowenwaw Park, overlooking Black Creek. By the end of 2021, we had both graduated with our Bachelors degrees, gotten engaged, and survived the 'vid - a pretty successful year. Shortly after school, we finally got our first place together here in Jacksonville, rescued an adorable kitten named Allie, and started planning for the future. Now we can't wait to tie the knot and continue pursuing our dreams together!
