One half of "Jelli", Sarah's two best friends from grad school. Kelli has the best sense of direction in the group (not a difficult feat). She always made sure we didn't get lost on our hikes and was in charge of directing the uber driver on our weekly girls' night. The girls' nights have now gone virtual with Kelli completing a post-doc at Harvard.
Jenn Gongola
Bridesmaid
The other half of "Jelli". Always, the one tasked with scaring off the bees on our days spent at the beach or lounging around the pool. In Jenn, Sarah finally met her match for someone who loves being pool or beach side as much as she does. She was also the first one of the group to finally become a dog mom to Kelso after the endless days we spent walking Back Bay in Costa Mesa, talking about our future pups. Jenn is currently applying her research skills in the finance world in Orange County.
Paige Minteer
Bridesmaid
Will's younger sister and Sarah's soon to be sister-in-law. Sarah and Paige share the same middle name and soon the same last name. Sarah and Paige first met over brunch in Santa Monica the day will flew out of LAX for his service trip in Tanzania. Paige lost no time sharing embarrassing stories about Will. Paige also shares a love for dogs and is now an Aunt to baby Nala, Sarah and Will's not so little golden retriever puppy. She is working as an attorney in LA.
Trevor Mells
Groomsman
Trevor and Will first met playing little-league soccer on the RSF attack (but both have no recollection of this). It wasn't until high school and pole vaulting together did they become best friends. Trevor had the best pole vaulting form on the team. In high school, Trevor and Will modeled for the NCL Fashion Show and impersonated the Beatles. Trevor came up with the idea to prank our high school by dressing up as PacMan and Ghosts during the Homecoming Halftime Show (https://bit.ly/PacManPrank), which was recreated at Bay2Breakers 2016. Now, Trevor lives in the Bay Area with his wife Robin. He has trained their two dogs Stan and Lucy much better than Nala. Trevor works in Tech.
Scott Stamer
Groomsman
Scotty and Will became best friends pole vaulting in high school. Scotty was the strongest and best pole vaulter on the team. Between surfing, snowboarding, hiking, shooting, and flying planes/helicopters, Scotty sends it (and Will often joins along). After training across the country and deployment, Scotty is finally back in San Diego living with his wife Cristina. They have two dogs, Bianca and Buck, who are also better trained than Nala. Scotty flies helicopters for the Navy.
Evan Laveman
Best Man
Evan and Will became best friends in high school between surfing and AP science classes. He also impersonated the Beatles and participated in the PacMan Prank in high school. Evan and Will went to UCLA together and even got into Disneyland's Club 33. Evan now lives in Del Mar with his wife Jess. He works as an ER doctor.
Nala Minteer
Dog of Honor
Nala is a sweet 3 year old Golden Retriever who will not be at the wedding due to venue rules. At the time of the deposit, Nala was just a sparkle in the eye of Will and Sarah. Nala grew up in Minnesota and loves the snow, laser pointer, and cuddles. She is very gentle with Crystal, her older sister.
Crystal Minteer
Kitty of Honor
Crystal is an 8 year old Bengal cat who Sarah adopted after she was retired from breeding. She loves plushies that look like mice, cat nip, and back scratches. Crystal tolerates Nala but reminisces on the days before a rambunctious puppy came into the picture. She will be celebrating from afar with Nala.
