Katie and Will met on Southern Adventist University's gymnastics team (GymMasters). It was Katie's first year at Southern and Will's second. They were coincidentally placed in the same tossing group. Over the next two years they remained only acquaintances. This lasted until Katie's junior year and Will's senior year they happened to be in the same class.... Katie asked Will to study and work on the homework together. Fast forward to November of that year and they started dating!

Will and I got engaged in Montana at this beautiful mountain lake near Skalkaho Pass. I had flown out to see Will for his birthday. Although he thought I was clueless, I had gotten my nails done prior to this trip if that tells you anything. I had no idea the timing during the trip or where it would be. It was one of the best days ever! My parents also ended up flying out to surprise me as well. Will's wonderful parents helped coordinate all of the details: the flowers, the arch, photographer, and my family.
