We met during the course of business in April 2019. Our interactions were purely phone conversations about work. William's curiosity about Doris grew because she was always so professional, witty and organized. After many attempts to meet in person, one day, it suddenly happened, and we finally met. William took the opportunity to shine and left Doris captivated by his charm and old school mannerisms (he still opens her door most of the time!). In the next 5 short months, we moved to Northern California together. William was a man with a plan. He proposed to Doris in the valley of Pleasantville, to the tune of "For You" by Kenny Lattimore, amongst the beautiful vineyards in perfect weather. It was an unforgettably romantic day full of wine, rose petals and a shiny diamond ring. Soon after, we began to search for wedding venues in New York, and when we finally found one we liked, Covid-19 shut down the world. This tragedy delayed our plans, but we continued to embrace all moments together and grow as a couple. We moved back to the East Coast in March 2022. During our search for our New Jersey house, we lived in New York. Finally, after viewing 60+ houses, we are now settled in our New Jersey house, that we love so much because it is the first house that actually feels like home to us both because it is the place where we often gather with our families and continue to make memories. While we have been engaged for 4 years now, it has given us insight on all of each other's sides - the good, the not so good, and the not so bad. Wanting to still be married to each other is the tell tale. Needless to say, we are excited to finally be getting married! We are so ready, willing and able to undertake our next adventure together! (whatever it may look like!)

It was a beautiful May morning when Doris arrived to pick up William. He stopped at a flower shop before heading out to Cape May. She appreciated his romantic ways. While they were on their way, talking and laughing, his apple music played in the background. William loves the classics. All of a sudden, between giggles and whispers, Tupac played "California Love". Doris was sure he would forward the song, but to her surprise, he started singing. He knew all of the lyrics. Her jaw must have been on the ground. Doris was stunned. She now knew he wasn't as serious as he looked. He's actually cool! That was the night they said "I Love You" to each other for the first time. (William said it first!)
