Will and Angela met in Austin during their undergrad at The University of Texas. At the time, Will lived in a large Christian co-op with Angela’s best friend’s fiance. Angela and that best friend visited the house for a family dinner put on by the residents of the co-op. This is where Angela and Will met. Over the course of the following year, they spent more and more time together at more family dinners, studying in the engineering buildings, and just getting to know each other. It was at the end of that school year that Will asked Angela on their first date to a plant nursery and bakery. They became official on June 4th, 2019. At the end of Angela’s junior year, Will graduated and moved to St. Louis where he works as a software engineer at Boeing. They have since pursued each other in a long-distance relationship, first from Austin and now from Champaign where Angela is a PhD student in Materials Science at the University of Illinois. Though their 3 years of long-distance dating haven’t been easy, they cherish the fact that this time has helped them grow deeply as best friends, partners, and followers of Jesus. After their wedding, Angela plans on finishing her PhD remotely from St. Louis. It is with the greatest joy that Will and Angela are getting to celebrate both their marriage and the end of long-distance dating with all of you!
