We have known each other for over 20 years. Our parents were friends many years ago and lets face it, when they got together, all of us kids came along for the ride. Dating all the way back to the mid to late 90's, Billy has been annoying Abbey better than anyone else. Of course we didn't date back then (Billy was way too cool for her). We lost touch around middle school as life took us both in a different direction. We rekindled in our mid 20's (big props to Amy the matchmaker) after Billy ran into Rick and Amy at a restaurant he was working at. The story continues in the adult version :)
Rick and Amy (Abbey's dad and step mom) took Billy's number down and said they would pass it along to Abbey for what was supposed to be just old friends seeing where each other ended up in life. After MULTIPLE attempts at hanging out and being denied Abbey finally agreed to meet up with Billy at Orleans in Mt. Clemens for a drink. Abbey even lied to Billy about her brother having a soccer game and her needing to stay home to babysit her father. While catching up and drinking a bottle of wine and possibly a bottle of titos, Billy and Abbey decided to actually set a first date which was for the following Sunday at Little Caesars Arena for a Red Wings game.
