Diana and Kyle met at Michigan State at the end of their sophomore year in 2014. Diana was joining a business fraternity on campus that Kyle was already a member of. During the pledging process, Kyle asked Diana to dance at one of the parties. She thought he was crazy, because it was against the rules to be involved with someone who was already a brother in the fraternity, but danced with him anyways and they had their first kiss that night. They both got into a bit of trouble with the fraternity, but that was the start of their story and it was worth it. Diana and Kyle’s first date was at Cedar Point in May and Kyle ended up totalling his sister’s car that he used to impress her by hitting a deer on the way home (he was not harmed). After that, Diana went on a 3 month study abroad to France where they talked every day regardless of the time change. Once Diana came back and their junior year started, they began dating right away on September 5th 2014.

It was a Sunday morning in March. Kyle had been telling Diana for a few days that they were going to have an awesome weekend and insisted that she picked a spot to go to for brunch that day. Kyle was worried about the outfit Diana would choose because he didn’t want it to be too casual, so he came up with an elaborate story to ensure that she wore a cute outfit and didn’t wear a jacket. They were on their way to “brunch” when Kyle made a stop near the Monument Circle in Indy. He came up with an excuse for why he had to walk towards the monument, at which point Diana still didn’t have any suspicions. It was once he started leading her up the steps that she knew something was happening. He got down on one knee and Diana began to hear the clicking of the photographer taking their photos and people cheering for them. Diana doesn’t remember exactly what he said, but she said “YES!” followed by “EEEEEK!” about one million times. Indianapolis has been their home for over 7 years, and having the proposal in the heart of the city was so special. Diana and Kyle are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in their lives with you and are looking forward to seeing you in St. Clair, Michigan!
