When these two pontifical political dynamos met to quabble over who is the least undesirable as Governor of the fine Commonwealth of Kentucky, it was the first time our groom realized there was more to the alluring newcomer on campus than exquisite looks, as he spotted her, donning fashionable, turtleshell-patterned spectacles, sitting amongst the plebeian members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. She, too, shared an affinity for attending events which made oneself appear intellectual. Over the following several months, the two coexisted on Centre College's campus, only occasionally exchanging a coy, glance or internalized cat calls. Aaron knew Natalie possessed all of the qualities he sought in a woman, yet a move was never made. Perhaps, as an outgoing senior, he had concluded pursuing the most desirable new girl on campus would surely be an exercise in futility. Yet, per usual, Aaron was wrong. Natalie, a woman ever determined to have her wants fulfilled, took matters into her own hands. It was during her spring break in the luscious paradise of Seaside, Florida when she recognized her opportunity. Aaron's sister, an acquaintance of Natalie's at the time, had also travelled to seek relaxation and recovery following weeks of rigorous study on campus. With the assistance of a potent concoction or two, our bride compelled Mary to provide her with Aaron's phone number. As they say, "shooters shoot," and she took her shot, sending a quick introductory text message to our groom. Unbeknownst to Natalie, Aaron had been spending his week-long sabbatical without cellular service, deep in the winding ravines of the Grand Canyon. After a day or two of anxiously awaiting his response, our groom finally emerged from the desert to discover her message. Following a series of high fives and fist bumps with his companions, he responded: "Sup?" And the rest is history...
