We met during the height of Covid-19. Amidst a year of uncertainty, we both first bonded over Zoom. We played a lot of games, participated in field service, and group movie nights. When small gatherings and social distancing were permitted, we met each other in person for the first time after 7 months! Small interactions and meaningful gestures were made, and mutual feelings were developed. At that moment in time, we both realized that we were not ready to be in a relationship. We both felt unprepared for marriage, and first wanted to pursue some of our spiritual goals. Though difficult and upsetting, we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways on August 7, 2021. During our time apart, both growing and learning, our trust remained intact. Our paths were different and unexpected, but they finally crossed again. After two years of very limited communication, we both still longed to be together. Though time had passed, and we ourselves had changed, our love had only grown stronger. After much thought and prayerful consideration, we resumed our interest in each other on October 9th, 2023. “Expectation postponed makes the heart sick, but a desire realized is a tree of life” (Prob. 13:12 NWT). How refreshing it is to finally be together! The fruit of our patience is a deep love and appreciation for one another; built on profound trust and respect. We both have come to appreciate Jehovah’s gift of love and can’t wait to start our new life together on May 25, 2024. We love and appreciate the many of you who have supported us in our endeavors, and hope that you are all able to join us on our very special day.
