We're Getting Married!

In April of 2014, I was a sophomore at The George Washington University, and Greg was stationed at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. Although I was living on the NW side of D.C., and Greg on the SE side, love still found a way, and that way was Tinder. Meeting on a dating app seemed unconventional at the time, but we are so grateful we did! On a warm Spring day, with a mutual right swipe, we had our first date. Our date lasted 6 hours long! We could not stop talking and traveled the entire city together on foot from lunch in Georgetown, to the roof of the Kennedy Center, and all the way to the National Mall for some ice cream. Needless to say, it was not long until we had our second date (hint: the next day). For the next three and a half years of dating, we went through long distance across the country, deployment, college graduation, and much more. And then...on February 16th, 2018, Gregory crafted the most beautiful proposal I could ever ask for. We were visiting his Grandparents in Marco Island, FL, for their 60th wedding anniversary. Following a morning filled with love and happiness surrounded by family, "we" decided to go see the sunset on the beach together. Without a clue, I went along with the entire adventure oblivious! Greg's sisters joined us on the trip to the beach, and were there to be with us and also capture the entire moment. Before he dropped to one knee, Greg had the idea to "recreate" a memorable photo we took three years ago together with our GoPro on the same beach. We were posing for the GoPro when he started the sweetest speech ever, and then proposed! I SAID YES! and here you are... on our website... our WEDDING website.
