Best Masc - Javier/Figaro
Fig and my friendship goes back over a decade - likely closer to 15 years give or take. Running in overlapping circles, we would see each other pretty frequently due to our weird Venn diagram of friends and activities. We lived about a block apart for a while, and I was one of the go-to dog sitters for a good amount of time. Eventually, we ended up living directly across the street from each other, with addresses that were numeric anagrams! By this point, our friendship had evolved to something akin to brotherhood. We looked out for each other and were always there for each other whenever needed. We even started working together for a couple of years before we both left Vancouver. We share a love of Fantasy and video games and often play video games together, most notably Final Fantasy 14, and have been known to roll some dice with friends at the table for rousing adventures in the world of D&D 5e. We've been constant party mates in life and games, and the fact that I get to stand by him while he sets out on this new leg of his adventure with Raidho makes me so incredibly happy.

Mutual friends and community service may have brought Christian and Mika together but an affinity for queer sketch comedy, musical theater, and dogs solidified their bond. There’s a special joy felt when your loved one goes after their dreams even if it means living in a different time zone. Mika is honored to stand by Christian and bear witness to the continued growth and love between him and Javier on their wedding day.

2023 marks a decade of friendship for Caressa and Javier/Figaro. Initially bonding through queer community gatherings and mutual friends, their friendship developed into a deeper familial bond as they supported one another through lifes' struggles and joys. It is one of her greatest honors to stand by his side once again as he embarks on this wonderful journey together with Christian/Raidho.

Then one day, during his 23rd birthday, everything changed. That's the story of Raidho and Flops and how they ended up spending the last decade side by side. The fawn and fawned, can you guess which one is which? Either way, getting to stand by my best friend on what will be the happiest day of his life is the most incredible honor this non-binosaur could ask for.

Inspired by them to be the best version of himself, he stands here today a new dog, a new man, and proud to call them family. My relationship to Raidho can be summarized in one simple phrase: “TAKE THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!” And a (probably) well deserved sigh.
