Second day of freshman year at Clemson, we attended a "Welcome to the Palmetto State" function for new students. Afterwards we went with 2 other guys to get dinner at the dining hall and ended up staying up all night playing cards in the dorms. A year and a half later we reconnected when we met at Wendy's for dinner on my birthday. A couple months later he asked me to formal and 2 weeks later we went on our official first date.

We were back on campus to take pictures for our friends who were graduating. We reminisced on our time at school as we walked from site to site. I thought "no way he will hijack his friends' graduation to propose." Shows how little I know, he proposed at the end of the photo session and I agreed to "grow old as nerds together."
