The couple met by pure fate in Ocean City Maryland on August 27th 2022. Maddy was on a girls trip with her mom and sisters when they found themselves drinking in the hotel pub. Tyler walked into the bar with a buddy and sat down across from them. The couple noticed each other immediately but it wouldn’t be until the bar was closing and everyone was in the hotel lounge that they would finally meet. “Your sister took a header” was the first thing that Tyler said to Maddy as she walked into the lounge. Her sister had fell as she walked into the bathroom and now the whole family was in there dealing with the situation. To avoid the chaos, Maddy left to hangout and get to know Tyler better. The couple was already hooked and after spending time together that night their love had sparked. They made plans to get breakfast the next morning. They had their first date at Generals Kitchen and made plans to see each other again.

At the time they met, Tyler was living in Quarryville with family and Madison had an apartment in Carlisle. Therefore to see each other they had to travel almost two hours but they never missed a weekend together. During the week they would talk or text and would even meet half way for dinner just to spend a few hours together.

After a few months of dating the couple was tired of living apart and felt ready to move in together. They eventually found a townhouse they could rent and call home. Some of their favorite around the house activities include gardening together and playing Xbox with friends. Over the months they even grew there little pet family by adding two rescue fish to the group. The other pets are Penny, the little dog, Mr Nibbles, an old orange cat, and lastly Oscar, the aquatic turtle.

Over the past year Tyler and Madison were able to explore and travel to some amazing places. These adventures included trips to Jamaica, OCMD, Rickets Glenn where there love flourished as they went. They also enjoy hobbies of tubing, camping, hiking, bowling, snowboarding/skiing.

Tyler had been waiting to propose and finally had the right opportunity November 8th 2023. He had a picnic planned with Maddy to take picture for holiday cards at Nolde Forest State Park. After hiking to the pond dock they snapped a few picture together before Tyler said “let’s get one more”. So they did and Tyler got down on one knee and asked “will you marry me”. Maddy said “yes” through tears and practically tackled Tyler with hugs and kisses. With that, the next chapter of their love story began…
