While Ryan was in Fort Myers for work, it was the love of travel, books, and the gym that sparked the initial attraction. After a few weeks of small talk, neither thinking the other was interested, one event changed everything. On March 5th, at exactly 12:07am Sarah was the first to wish Ryan a Happy Birthday. A tradition that best man, Adam Green, held for years. It was at that moment that Ryan knew this girl was different. The relationship was solidifed the next weekend on a thoughtful visit that Sarah planned filled with some of their favorites; beach sunsets, sushi and comedy. The relationship developed quickly when Ryan received an offer to move to Arkansas for work after only 4 months of dating. He wasn’t moving without her. Thankfully, the Florida girl said yes. At that moment, Ryan knew what the next question would be. Hopefully with the same answer! Ryan planned it out and told Sarah they had an important work event at 4pm on September 27. Sarah tried many times to get out of it, but showed up and for the first time, Ryan was able to surprise her! As she walked down the stairs at Crystal Bridges, in Bentonville, looking for an event tent, she found Ryan standing there with a bouquet of her favorite flowers, a box and a question. With tears of joy he asked her to be his forever home, and she said YES. Dear friend, Denise’s husband Mike, the Napa County Coroner, passed away in 2014. While On vacation in Hawaii, in Feb 2018, on the island where Mike passed, Denise and Sarah asked Mike to send her someone special. Sarah and Ryan met a week after she returned home to Florida. The wedding is on the 22nd, Denise and Mike’s special day and the first police cadet to receive Mike’s scholarship was named Ryan. Both Ryan and Sarah know that Napa will always have a special place for their relationship
