We Met

We met at Greenville Middle School, where Jordan greeted me for the first time from under a table during our required reading class. We quickly fell into the same group of friends and spent a lot of our time together through middle and high school.

2013

Senior Year

Our senior year of high school, which gave us some of our favorite memories together. They include: • Attending prom separately, but still ending up with each other by the end of the night. • Jordan skipping our English class for about the third time to attend the midnight release of a video game, and me telling him that I hope his X-Box exploded. It promptly died that same day. • My mom constantly telling me: "That boy is so in love with you." And my adamant refusal to believe that was true.

Dating

We officially began dating in February, and the response we got from all of our friends and family (all some variation of 'finally!') still makes us laugh to this day. I was attending college in Sault Ste Marie, and Jordan was working third shift almost five hours away. In an attempt to surprise me for our first Valentine's Day together, he tried to brave one of the worst blizzards we had that year on I-75 and crashed his Bronco. I surprised him by driving home the following weekend.

Engaged

We were engaged in March, literally a week before the entire world shut down. We had our families with us to celebrate our new home and someone suggested we take some photos to commemorate the occasion. On the front lawn, surrounded by all of our loved ones, he got down on one knee. Everyone was in on it, and I cried like a baby. This is also the year we got both of our pups, Brodi and Dutch, and completed our little family.

Married

We were married June 25th in our own backyard. It was a small, private ceremony on the rainiest weekend of the year. We had to create a tunnel of canopies from our garage to the tent outside, our back yard flooded, and Jordan mud-wrestled our officiant (and Best Man). It was perfect.
