In light of COVID-19 and for the health and safety of our guests, we have made the difficult decision to modify our original wedding plans. We will no longer be getting married at the Waterview and will be having a small ceremony and reception for close family and friends at an outdoor location on October 9, 2020.
We have moved our wedding entirely outdoors. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held at an outdoor estate. We will have a tent set up for dinner and in case of inclement weather, in which we will distance tables to make guests feel comfortable.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be 100% outside, with dinner under an open tent where fans/heaters will be installed if needed dependent on weather. The large and open property allows plenty of opportunity for guests to maintain social distance. Hand sanitizer stations will also be set up throughout the venue and backup masks will be on hand.
Due to the current state guidelines, we are adhering to government protocols and have had to greatly modify our guest list from originally planned. We are limiting our special day to strictly our loved ones. If your invitation does not indicate a plus-one, we're sorry, and we hope you understand!
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Please note, the wedding is on grass for ladies wearing heels!
For those traveling from out of town and needing accommodations, we suggest the Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury, which is approximately 15 minutes from the wedding venue. Please call or email the hotel (reservationsdanbury@hotelzerodegrees.com) to book a room under the "Michaelis-Randall Wedding Block" to get discounted rates.
We are kindly asking for a phone-free ceremony. We ask that you please refrain from cell phone use during the ceremony - including taking pictures. Thank you!
