If you like beer, then definitely check out Sierra Nevada Brewing Companys Brew House Bar. There are tours every day for $9 if you want to get a look behind the scenes or head to their Taproom & Restaurant (no reservations required) and try a flight of different Sierra Nevada brews!
Upper Crust Bakery & Eatery
Upper Crust is a great place to go for breakfast or a light bite! Sip a freshly brewed coffee with one of their many delicious gourmet baked goods. (They have great gluten-free options as well!)
Stoble Coffee
Stoble is a local gem, perfect for enjoying a tasty snack and a cup of coffee. Adam and I frequent this spot in Chico to talk and read. For the best experience, I highly recommend ascending the stairs to the top floor, where you'll find an open-air balcony!
5th Street Steakhouse
One of Adam and I's favorite places to go and grab a drink or get dinner is 5th Street! They have an awesome outside patio area and the best steak in town!
Chico Certified Farmers' Market
If you're here on Saturday morning, don't miss the Chico Farmer's Market! As one local wrote, "There's a reason (or rather, many) that the Chico Saturday Farmer's Market is so popular. Each week you'll find the freshest fruits, vegetables, nuts, honeys, meats, and more all in one location. It's so popular and convenient that you'll find several chefs from local Downtown restaurants there on any given Saturday doing their shopping for their own restaurants that week. You'll also find local crafters, bakers, and food trucks/carts to round out the experience. It's always a good place to bring out-of-town guests in the morning before exploring Downtown."
Bidwell Park
One of the largest municipal parks in the nation, Bidwell Park truly is the crown jewel of the City of Chico. With its array of hiking and mountain biking trails, picnic areas, swimming holes, it is a city park like none other!
Hike the Beautiful Phantom Falls
Feeling outdoorsy? Phantom Falls is one of our favorite hikes we've ever done together! Now is the perfect time to visit, as the trail is vibrant with wildflowers and ends in a stunning waterfall. This hike is about a 25-30 minute drive from Chico.
