We moved our ceremony from a 100 seat chapel to the 1200 seat church. Attendees will skip/alternate rows and all guests will have plenty of space to spread out. Additionally masks and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the church. Masks are required to enter the church and must be kept on for the duration of the ceremony.
The cocktail reception will be outside under the stars (and some Edison lightbulbs strings). Cocktail tables will be spread out 6' apart. There will be hand sanitizer at every cocktail table and the bar. There will be signs encouraging social distancing, and staff will gently remind guests as well. Only one attendee may be at the bar at a time. Servers will walk around with trays of beverages. All servers are required to wear masks and gloves throughout the duration of the event.
We are providing seating for dinner outside under an open tent and inside the open-air barn. Tables are over 6' apart in both locations; there is enough seating for approximately 50 people outside and 60 people inside (which is more than we will need). Seating will be self-serve which will allow guests to choose where and when they want to sit for dinner. The barn will have all doors open and an industrial ceiling fan running at all times. There will be hand sanitizer at every table. Guests will be served food by servers in masks and gloves; guests will not touch or serve themselves food at any time during the event. All servers are required to wear masks and gloves throughout the duration of the event. All utensils will be individually wrapped in napkins. There will be social distancing markers throughout the event and dinner stations.
There will be a sanitation station outside the bathrooms and hand sanitizer inside the bathrooms. There are also social distancing markers outside the restrooms as well. Dancing will be encourage outside. We only anticipate 50-ish attendees and we are happy to provide updates if people are interested.
Yes. Typical weather for the first weekend of November in Pennsylvania ranges from low 40's to mid-60's. Please plan and dress accordingly. Hey, it's an excuse to dust off your grandma's fur ;-) We will have outdoor heaters throughout the venue however given that the tent has no sides and barn is large with big open doors, we cannot guarantee it will be warm. We will be serving wine, beer and a spiked warm cider, which will also help keep you warm. ;-)
If it rains we will need to move the reception indoors, though the barn doors will still be open and the fan will still be on. We realize this may mean some people cannot attend. We will address this further in-detail if need be, closer to the event.
