Warren and I went to Lenox High together until Warren transferred to St. Joe's to continue playing hockey. We grew up (some) and life took us in different directions, literally, as Warren went away to college then joined the Navy, and I have never left the Berkshires. He is a combat disabled veteran who served in the Persian Gulf. We reconnected on Facebook in 2021 before I had back surgery, and Warren was instrumental in my recovery, helping my dad walk my dogs most importantly! We spent a RIDICULOUS number of hours on the phone talking (ya, old school) about who knows what, kind of like when we were teenagers, and realized we had so much in common. Because he lived on the other side of the state, we scheduled a lunch "date" just as friends reconnecting, and he stayed overnight at a friend's because he wanted to meet again the next day. Long story short, he proposed several months later, I said yes, and we combined our 4-legged families of his 4 Siberian Huskies and my 2 rescues (plus a kitty!!) to form The Bratty Bunch. Warren insists he has liked me since high school and has memories of us as proof. I prayed for God to send me someone that would love me like a country song. Warren is my country song.
