The Battery Atlanta
The Battery Atlanta is a mixed-use development located in the Atlanta metropolitan area, approximately 10 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. The Braves play in Truist park located at the Battery, but even in the off-season this is a popular spot with some great bars, restaurants, and shopping. Our reception venue is located here so we encourage you to stay at one of the hotels listed on our site. If you have never ridden a mechanical bull, you will get a chance to at PBR sportsbar!
Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium is a must see! The Georgia Aquarium in the largest Aquarium in the United States and the sixth largest in the world.
Ponce City Market
Once home to a Sears, Roebuck & Co. now neighbors to Moore and Sam. Ponce City Market is now a massive mixed-use facility featuring offices, coffee shops, restaurants, boutique shopping and more. The building's roof is also an attraction itself, home to unique draws such as Skyline Park, where visitors can play games like Skee-Ball and mini-golf or go for a ride down a three-story slide, and 9 Mile Station, a rooftop restaurant.
Atlanta Beltline
Take a walk, bike ride, or bird scooter along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, which stretches through various neighborhoods and offers a scenic route with street art, local restaurants, and parks.
World of Coca-Cola

Fernbank Science Center
One of Moore's favorite places in ATL. The Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta is a unique combination of urban forest, planetarium, observatory, and exhibit hall. It sits on four acres of land in DeKalb County on the edge of a sixty-five-acre primeval forest preserved for educational purposes.
College Football Hall of Fame
The College Football Hall of Fame is a hall of fame and interactive attraction devoted to college American football. From the huge helmet wall featuring over 760 schools in The Quad to the giant Indoor Playing Field and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Skill Zone, the College Football Hall of Fame provides fans of all ages with memorable things to do.
Atlanta History Center
The Atlanta History Center is a 33-acre experience features award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, enchanting gardens, interactive activities and a variety of year-round adult and family programs. The center’s museum features exhibits on the history of Atlanta and Georgia, and the research library and archives contain more than five million items, including manuscripts, photographs and books related to Southern history and culture. The center is also home to several historic sites including the Swan House, a 1928 mansion that is open to the public for tours, and the Smith Family Farm, a restored antebellum farm that offers a glimpse into rural life in Georgia in the mid-19th century.
Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is a 200+ acre greenspace in the heart of Atlanta hosting over 6 million visitors and hundred of events each year.
Zoo Atlanta
Explore the wonders of wildlife in a lush botanical oasis that’s home to more than 1,000 animals from around the world – just minutes from downtown Atlanta. Highlights include one of North America’s largest populations of great apes, including gorillas and orangutans, and the rare experience of seeing giant pandas. Old Vinings Inn
The Old Vinings Inn is Atlanta's premiere private dining venue, rich in history and Southern charm. In the quaint & historic town of Vinings, Old Vinings Inn is steeped in fond memories and heritage. This house has served many functions in its past - a post office, a general store, a filling station, and one of Moore and Sam's favorite restuarants.

Canoe
Great spot near our reception venue. Canoe has a fantastic view of the Chattahoochee River and plenty of green space to enjoy cocktails.
Cafe Comma
One of Sam's favorite coffee shops in the city. Café Comma is a one of a kind coffee house located in Vinings. They serve unique speciality drinks and delicious small bites for breakfast. Sam highly recommends the pistachio cream.
Atkins Park Tavern
*multiple locations* This was Moore's favorite restaurant growing up. Atkins Park has some of the best chicken tenders in the city according to Sam. Atkins Park enjoys a colorful history as Atlanta's oldest continuously licensed tavern. Whether you're looking for a great place to eat with the kids, weekend brunch, or a late-night drink. Atkins Park has something to offer everybody.
Heirloom Market BBQ
Heirloom Market BBQ is a hidden gem very close to the Battery. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is among the best barbecue in the whole city.
South City Kitchen
*multiple locations* South City Kitchen Vinings gives Southern food a modern, upscale spin in a warm setting perfect for gathering with friends and family.
Creatwood Tavern
Smyrna’s own Cleveland Browns Bar! If you're ready to enjoy a tasty meal while enjoying a view of the city, the Creatwood Tavern is the move with the only rooftop patio in Smyrna.

Funky coffeehouse in a converted garage serving house-roasted beans, plus sandwiches & pastries.
Blue Moon Pizza
*multiple locations* Moore and Sam's go to pizza in ATL. We highly recommend getting a pizza "Grandma's Style". The pizzeria also offers regular crust, but has especially good pizza for the gluten-free crowd.
Highland Tap
Highland Tap is an Atlanta classic offering premium cuts of beef and stiff drinks making it one of Moore and Sam's favorite neighborhood spots. The subterranean space features stone walls, red leather banquettes, and dim lighting, creating a cozy speakeasy vibe.
Moe's and Joe's
Nestled right in the heart of Virignia Highlands this classic dive bar is one of our favorite bars in Atlanta. Good beer, good food, and fun atmosphere.
The Varsity
"What’ll ya have… What’ll ya have?" There’s no friendlier greeting than the one you’ll receive when you step up to the counter at The Varsity. And that’s just the beginning of what makes The Varsity so special. Moore and Sam hold the Varsity close to their hearts as they have eaten at the Varsity every single valentines day. While it may not be fine dining it is world class people watching. This long-running drive-in chain serving up burgers, hot dogs, fries, shakes & other American classics is a must see an iconic part of Atlanta’s culture.
Alon's Bakery & Market
*multiple locations* Simply the best bakery in Atlanta. This is a must see! Alon's offers a unique atmosphere that emulates the authentic feel of a European market. Known for its high-quality, made-from-scratch selection of baked breads, European-style cakes, handmade pastries, gourmet sandwiches, freshly prepared foods, fine cheeses, exquisite chocolates and more--this is one of Sam and Moore's absolute favorite spots on this list.
Big Softie
*multiple locations* Sam's favorite ice cream shop. Serving up speciality soft serve with in house made toppings. Worth the wait in line. If you're heading there in the morning be sure to check out their sister company, Little Tarte Bakeshop.
Treehouse Restaurant and Pub
One of the most sentimental places on this list. This is where Moore and Sam had their first date. We recommend the artichoke dip...this may be the only reason Moore and Sam are together. A laid-back American eatery/bar with a festive, woodsy vibe inside & a popular lush patio outdoors.
Hotel Clermont
Hotel Clermont is an Atlanta Classic and across the street from where Moore and Sam live. We recommend attacking the hotel from the top to bottom. The Hotel Clermont boasts an impressive rooftop with great views, drinks, and snacks. Ask about Goldie. ;)
Torched Hop Brewing Company
Roomy taproom offering housemade beers & creative New American pub fare in lofty digs with bocce. A local neighborhood brewery with delicious food. Make sure to try Sam's favorite the tempura avocado. Also a great spot for kids!
Hal's "The Steakhouse"
An old-school steakhouse & lounge with a throwback vibe, plus live music. Moore's favorite restaurant in the city that is sure to knock your socks off. Please note, there is a strict business casual dress code.
Johnny's Hideaway
Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Madonna, the Beach Boys, Shania & all the rest...Come and visit one of Atlanta's original and now smoke-free nightspots. 'Atlanta's ONLY Nightclub For Big Kids' Johnny's Hideaway features Atlanta's best DJs spinning all your hits from the '50's to today, Shag to Disco. All for your listening and dancing pleasure. Sam's favorite place in the city! Please note, there is a strict dress code.
La Grotta Ristorante
Best Italian in the city! Serving the finest in Northern & Regional Italian Cuisine, La Grotta offers old world charm and friendly, first class service and is located in the heart of Buckhead. Try Sam's favorite pasta in the city the "Sacchetti di Formaggio e Tartufi Neri". Please note, there is a strict business casual dress code.
The Southern Gentleman
Sam's Dads favorite restaurant in ATL. A Southern restaurant with craft cocktails & locally sourced traditional food from the south. Enjoy the views of Buckhead Village on this rooftop bar. We highly recommend the fried chicken.
OK Cafe
Old-fashioned diner with a Southern slant, complete with milkshakes, meatloaf, & a jukebox. Moore's favorite spot in Atlanta for country fried steak.
Nuevo Laredo Cantina
Your search for the best Mexican food in Atlanta is over. In its campy, off the beaten path location, Nuevo Laredo Cantina offers authentic, home-cooked Mexican food. Be warned this hot-spot usually has a wait.
Blind Willie's
Located in the heart of Virginia Highlands, Blind Willies offers up some of the best blues, nightly, in Atlanta. It's not a large venue and the seating is limited, but you will never not enjoy yourself. Check out their website to see who's playing!
Five Daughters Bakery
*multiple locations* The bakery is known for its croissant-style 100-layer donuts and other sweet treats. Five Daughters Bakery can be found at Ponce City Market and Westside Provisions, and also the Avalon. One of our favorite sweet treats in the city. Be sure to try the Purist and the Strawverry Fields--our favorites!
The Local
The Local, known for its chicken wings and karaoke nights. The best wings in Atlanta according to Moore and Sam. Be mindful, this restaurant has some funky hours and the do not do to go orders. Make sure to try our favorite combo-- the sundried tomato barbecue. Please note this restraunt is 21+.
Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q Westside
*multiple locations* There’s no shortage of good barbecue in the South. One of Sam's favorites is Fox Bros. Fox Bros. BBQ is famous for its Texan-slash-Southern style slow and low cooked Hickory-smoked meats.
Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q
*multiple locations* There’s no shortage of good barbecue in the South. One of Moore's favorites is Williamson Brothers BBQ. Williamson Bros. BBQ has it all: appetizers and sides that would make grandma giddy; platters and sandwiches piled high with smoked-onsite meats; to-die-for desserts; the best barbecue and steak sauces in the South.
Little Rey
*multiple locations* Contemporary Mexican counter serve offering tacos, breakfast & margaritas According to Sam's cousin Joe they have the world's best chicken sandwich (La Torta Diabla). A casual restaurant with good grub and a great patio space. Don't forget to leave room for the churro ice cream.
Muss & Turner's / Eleanor's
Great restaurant with a speakeasy in the back! Go straight to the back and open the freezer door to find a prohibition era, dimly lit bar experience with some crazy cocktails.
Taqueria Del Sol
(muliple locations) Taqueria Del Sol is a fast casual restaurant that Moore and Sam love. Specializing in their fried chicken taco, Taqueria del Sol serves up a Southern take on traditional Mexican cuisine. It’s the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner with kids of for a quick but delicious dining experience.
