The Battery Atlanta

The Battery Atlanta is a mixed-use development located in the Atlanta metropolitan area, approximately 10 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. The Braves play in Truist park located at the Battery, but even in the off-season this is a popular spot with some great bars, restaurants, and shopping. Our reception venue is located here so we encourage you to stay at one of the hotels listed on our site. If you have never ridden a mechanical bull, you will get a chance to at PBR sportsbar!

Georgia Aquarium

Once home to a Sears, Roebuck & Co. now neighbors to Moore and Sam. Ponce City Market is now a massive mixed-use facility featuring offices, coffee shops, restaurants, boutique shopping and more. The building's roof is also an attraction itself, home to unique draws such as Skyline Park, where visitors can play games like Skee-Ball and mini-golf or go for a ride down a three-story slide, and 9 Mile Station, a rooftop restaurant.

One of Moore's favorite places in ATL. The Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta is a unique combination of urban forest, planetarium, observatory, and exhibit hall. It sits on four acres of land in DeKalb County on the edge of a sixty-five-acre primeval forest preserved for educational purposes.

College Football Hall of Fame

The College Football Hall of Fame is a hall of fame and interactive attraction devoted to college American football. From the huge helmet wall featuring over 760 schools in The Quad to the giant Indoor Playing Field and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Skill Zone, the College Football Hall of Fame provides fans of all ages with memorable things to do.

Atlanta History Center

The Atlanta History Center is a 33-acre experience features award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, enchanting gardens, interactive activities and a variety of year-round adult and family programs. The center’s museum features exhibits on the history of Atlanta and Georgia, and the research library and archives contain more than five million items, including manuscripts, photographs and books related to Southern history and culture. The center is also home to several historic sites including the Swan House, a 1928 mansion that is open to the public for tours, and the Smith Family Farm, a restored antebellum farm that offers a glimpse into rural life in Georgia in the mid-19th century.

One of Sam's favorite coffee shops in the city. Café Comma is a one of a kind coffee house located in Vinings. They serve unique speciality drinks and delicious small bites for breakfast. Sam highly recommends the pistachio cream.

*multiple locations* This was Moore's favorite restaurant growing up. Atkins Park has some of the best chicken tenders in the city according to Sam. Atkins Park enjoys a colorful history as Atlanta's oldest continuously licensed tavern. Whether you're looking for a great place to eat with the kids, weekend brunch, or a late-night drink. Atkins Park has something to offer everybody.

And that’s just the beginning of what makes The Varsity so special. Moore and Sam hold the Varsity close to their hearts as they have eaten at the Varsity every single valentines day. While it may not be fine dining it is world class people watching. This long-running drive-in chain serving up burgers, hot dogs, fries, shakes & other American classics is a must see an iconic part of Atlanta’s culture.

Hotel Clermont is an Atlanta Classic and across the street from where Moore and Sam live. We recommend attacking the hotel from the top to bottom. The Hotel Clermont boasts an impressive rooftop with great views, drinks, and snacks. Ask about Goldie. ;)

The Local, known for its chicken wings and karaoke nights. The best wings in Atlanta according to Moore and Sam. Be mindful, this restaurant has some funky hours and the do not do to go orders. Make sure to try our favorite combo-- the sundried tomato barbecue. Please note this restraunt is 21+.

Great restaurant with a speakeasy in the back! Go straight to the back and open the freezer door to find a prohibition era, dimly lit bar experience with some crazy cocktails.
