Michaela Staton
Maid of Honor
Michaela is Ashley’s tried and true friend from college and has steadfastly supported Ashley and Walter through the years – driving down to Charlottesville from DC for a day trip, prepping Walter for the proposal, and generally staying on the phone for hours on end when Ashley calls unexpectedly. She’s currently living in Washington, DC.
Brian Kim
Best Man
Brian and Walter were assigned to be roommates at a graduate school visit weekend in 2017, forming a bond that has remained strong to this day. They eventually pursued their PhDs together at the University of Virginia, where they spent 5 years crunching education data, doing bits, and (briefly) forming a kazoo-guitar-piano trio with Ashley. Brian is a (nearly) life-long New Englander, currently residing in Boston.
Michelle Charochak
Bridesmaid
Michelle met Ashley before they became classmates at the University of Virginia at a graduate school visit weekend. Since then, Michelle has been a loyal confidante from the early days of Ashley’s crush on Walter to the logistics extraordinaire on the day Walter proposed. Michelle and Ashley were also fellow analysts for Rhode Island’s Office of Management and Budget where Michelle still rises in the ranks.
Rob Bultman
Groomsman
Rob was the first member of the greater Bultman family that Walter learned about: Ashley only made it about 20 minutes into her first date with Walter before gushing about her older brother. In addition to being a wonderful brother to Ashley, Rob has been incredibly gracious in welcoming Walter into the Bultman family. A Winston-Salem native like his sister, Rob now lives in Charlotte, NC.
Haley Herring
Bridesmaid
Haley joins the bridal party as one of Walter’s two sisters residing in San Francisco, California. Haley’s first time meeting Ashley in Charlottesville was full of quality time and rich conversation, and Haley has been a steady source of great book, movie, and recipe recommendations ever since.
John Leganski
Groomsman
John and Walter met during their freshman year of college and became fast friends. John has helped Walter navigate many phases of life, from their brief but memorable tenure as president and vice president of their fraternity to engagements, weddings, and marriage. John currently lives in Washington, DC, but his heart remains in his native Chicago.
Camille Herring
Bridesmaid
Camille is Walter’s youngest sister and has embraced Ashley and Walter since the very beginning. Over winter break in 2018, she helped Walter bake a batch of cake pops so he could orchestrate a great second date with Ashley. Camille lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Will Schleier
Groomsman
Will and Walter met in 4th grade, when they anchored the offensive line of their YMCA football team. In the two decades since standing by Walter on the gridiron, Will has stood by Walter on middle school talent show stages, at 10+ Robert Earl Keen Christmas concerts, and (soon) at Walter’s wedding as a groomsman. After stops in Princeton, Ulaanbaatar, Houston, and New York, Will currently resides in Midland, TX.
