we’re getting married!

While Sierra and Tyler have known each other for many years, and went through school together, they would both agree they were always just acquaintances. They were both in Atlantic City celebrating a mutual friends birthday when they unexpectedly ran into each other. When Sierra's best friend Brittany found out Tyler wanted to take her on a date, Brittany immediately approved and insisted she accept the offer. Their first date started in town at Mrs. Walkers. To this day, Tyler will tell you that he ordered Cookie Dough Ice Cream, but Sierra will continue to remind him that he actually ordered a milkshake. (She remembers because she was jealous and wish she got one too). The date continued and they decided to take a drive down to one of Sierra's favorite places -- the beach. They were both working on Long Beach Island at the time, and both loved Beach Haven. They walked, shared many laughs, and watch sunset on Center Street beach that night. All it took was one date for them to both be absolutely inseparable.

A week or so prior, Tyler asked Sierra to go on a dinner date with him to a restaurant she always wanted to try-- The Beach House. She heard him make dinner reservations for the two of them, and was very excited to finally try a restaurant she'd be begging to go to for so long. It was very typical of the two of them to stop at the beach anytime they were in LBI, and dinner reservations were just moments away from the street they stopped at on their first date. In a full circle moment, Tyler proposed in the same spot as their first date-- Center Street Beach in Beach Haven at sunset. After Sierra said "yes" the surprise continued with a mini engagement photo shoot and dinner at The Beach House with both of their immediate families. Ya, that dinner reservation she heard him make.. it was actually a phone call to his brother Joe-- he had Sierra totally fooled. It couldn't have been a more perfect evening. It was one of their happiest moments so far-- until September 10th,2022.
