Pandemic planning isn’t the easiest, but we are so thankful to start our lives together whatever that may look like. We are trying to keep what's important in front of us, one of which is you! When we started thinking about our wedding ceremony and reception priorities, people were at the top of the list. We are hopeful that people will have access to the vaccine, but also taking precautions in case that isn't true. We also know that each person and family has a different risk tolerance level. We want you to do what is best for your family's mental, emotion and physical wellbeing. Our hope is to provide enough information to allow you to make the best decision for your family. If you have a question that hasn't been answered here, please email us at thefuturepreshers@gmail.com
The key precautions we are taking now are having both the ceremony and reception outdoors, maintaining social distancing and wearing face coverings when you can't maintain social distance and aren't fully vaccinated. Dinner will be a buffet, but served by our caterers to minimize contact with food. Dancing will be held in the ballroom to maximize the venue's space and to keep distance for those who don't feel comfortable yet hitting the dance floor.
Absolutely not! We love you. Clearly we want you to celebrate with us, but more than that we want your health and well being. Please do what is best for you and yours in these crazy days. We hope you will celebrate us from afar!
Please check out the Culpeper County website for the most up to date information on COVID-19 in Culpeper County: https://web.culpepercounty.gov/COVID-19Updates Beginning May 15th, weddings in Virginia will be limited to 250 people outdoors and 100 indoors.
We are praying and hopeful that things will get better and not worse. And so far it is! We trust the public health guidance that is given by local, state and federal governments and ultimately want the health and safety of our loved ones. We are following things closely and will keep this page updated as much as possible. Since things change quickly, we will share more information closer to the wedding on precautions we are taking in response to the state of COVID-19. We are thankful that so far we have not had to reduce our guest count, but instead have been able to open it up to all those we love thanks to the vaccine being widely distributed and restrictions being lifted.
