Maid of Honor
I’ve been lucky enough to count Kelly as one of my closest friends for nearly 25 years — since we shared a preschool classroom! Since graduating high school and going our separate ways (me to Colorado and now Texas, and Kelly to the Portland area), we’ve managed to maintain our friendship through lots of FaceTime calls, visits back and forth between our respective states, and TRAVELING! Our travels have taken us to many incredible places, but few trips will ever surpass our month-long European adventure after we graduated college. We never could have dreamed that Kelly would meet her future husband on that trip! Garrett was an instant friend the moment we stepped off the plane in Amsterdam. He tagged along on all of our adventures during that month, and his easy-going, goofy demeanor keeps us all laughing even to this day. It’s been such a blessing to be able to watch his and Kelly’s relationship blossom into what is today, and I’m so excited to stand by both of their sides as they start this new adventure together.
Best Man
I've been Garrett's elder brother his whole life, but he's only been my younger brother for 29 years. Safe to say I taught him everything he knows, and some things he doesn't, especially about video games. One day he told me he was "going to have a girlfriend soon", and then he introduced Kelly. I've been her boyfriend's elder brother for 3 years, her fiancé's elder brother for 1 year, and I'm excited to be her brother-in-law for the next 100 years.

I am so excited and grateful to be celebrating the amazing couple: Garrett and Kelly. I met Garrett freshman year of undergrad when I first started dating Aaron Moreland and joined the group. I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly when they first started dating, only they hadn't told anyone yet, so we were all waiting with anticipation until they gave us the final word that things were official! Kelly and Garrett are part of the glue that binds our group of friends, and from planning ski trips to board game nights, both of them are so inviting to those around them and work diligently to support their loved ones and each other. I am very lucky to call them both friends. Cheers to these two amazing individuals tying the knot, and let's get ready to party!
Groomsman
My friendship with Garrett began in Highschool and we quickly bonded through our similar humors and love of videogames. Garrett being a year older than I in Highschool could have been a big deal but he really made me feel accepted in his existing social circle. Garrett always felt like a Hub of Friendship, with the ability to bring so many people together. I knew that he would find someone lucky enough to romance him down the aisle. I'm so happy that Kelly is that person.

The first time I met Kelly I asked her, "So, are you interested in dating Garrett?" and she said no. Luckily, she was hiding her true feelings from a random girl she'd just met, and now we all get to celebrate their wedding! Garrett and I went to high school together and continued being friends after college, when he introduced us to Kelly I knew she was great addition to our group and a good match for Garrett. I cherish my friendship with Kelly, she is a friend you can depend on for fun and support. Watching Kelly and Garrett's relationship bloom has been a joy and I'm excited to stand besides them as they tie the knot. Cheers to a celebration filled with love and lasting memories!

Some people in life you’ve just known for far too long. Others, you haven’t known for long enough yet. Garrett found the fence that rides between the two the day we met. I’m not sure if it was that time in our lives, the type of people we both are, or if opposites just attract. Garrett has been the peas to my carrots since we met in high school fifteen years ago. Just after college, Garrett was always telling me about a woman he met traveling. Initially, I sympathized as love abroad rarely finds its way home and Garrett was enamored. To my delight, and I’m sure Garrett’s, abroad became local when Kelly moved to Portland. I haven’t known Kelly as long as I’ve known Garrett, but I can say with confidence she found the fence too.

My name is Lauren and I am the cousin of the groom. The first time I really got a chance to know the bride was on the annual Sunriver trip. I knew I liked her when we finished maybe 3 bottles of rose and got drunk in the hot tub. To this day we have a special bottle of rose we like to gift each other on special occasions. However, I knew that she was a gonna be a great friend when, during one of our trips she waited in the ER waiting room for me when I had an allergenic reaction. After surviving that ordeal, the following day on my birthday, yup the day before my birthday. She helped make it one of the best birthdays ever. We didn’t have candles so she got a lighter and held it so I could blow it out. It was one of my favorite moments and fondest memories. I couldn’t be happier getting to be a part of Kelly and Garrett’s wedding, I love them both so much.

Garrett and I met in High School. Since then he has been a nexus point for so many important friendships in my life. From building a competitive video game team to helping me mix 120+ cocktails at our annual Summer party, Garrett puts all of his effort into bringing people together. I couldn’t be happier to see Garrett and Kelly grow together, and I can’t wait to see them tie the knot!

I first met Garrett when I was almost 3 years old. On that day I was lucky enough to become his older sister! Garrett and I were close growing up and I always loved including him in anything I was doing. I feel lucky that we continued to stay close as we've grown into adults. I was planning my own wedding when Garrett first introduced me to Kelly, and I instantly felt like she was already a part of the family. I got married in May of 2020 only a few months after Garrett and Kelly started dating, and even though Kelly couldn't attend the wedding (we only had immediate family attend), she helped my Mom set up for it the night before. I appreciated how much she already cared for Garrett and his family (me) that early on. Over the last few years Kelly and I have grown closer, bonding over our love of plants and books. I'm so excited to celebrate Garrett and Kelly and gain another sister-in-law, not only because now we have equal numbers to the boys, but also because I couldn't have asked for a better partner for my younger brother, or a better addition to our family.

I am Kelly’s only (younger but taller) brother. We spent many holidays building snow ramps on our back deck, playing board games, and building Legos and K’Nex structures in Hood River. After my college days in Idaho, Kelly encouraged me to come over to Portland to room with her for a year while I started my job at Lam Research and get used to the Portland area. That’s when I also got to know Garrett and appreciate their growing relationship. Garrett and I shared an interest in bouldering and video games so we hit it off right away.
Officiant
I’ve been a friend of Garrett since the first day of high school back in 2009. In the last decade, we’ve been through a lot together; from goofing off in class and graduating school, to surviving breakups and moving to different cities. Garrett has always been there for me, as a loyal, supportive, and hilarious friend. I only got to meet Kelly a few years ago, soon after we had graduated from college. I remember being impressed by Kelly's intelligence, kindness, and her refreshing 'cut-the-crap' brashness when she spoke. To see another person challenge Garrett and keep him in check, not only provided a sense of confidence in their relationship but also a small bit of entertainment I am beyond honored to for them to ask me to be a part of their special day, and to witness their love and commitment, as their Multnomah county ordained officiant.
