After much deliberation, Jess decided it was time to start seriously looking for "Mr. Right" or she would continue to hear about it from her mom. Friends, Dahlia and Kevin, suggested that Jess download the app Hinge (since that is where they met) to swipe to her heart's content - literally. Luckily, when she was miles away in Las Vegas, she got a message from this super cute guy named Wade on the app saying "what are you up to this weekend" Clever, right? From there, the two chatted for a FULL month before being able to officially meet up. Jess was confident he was trying to blow her off. However, she wore him down and Wade agreed to meet Jess at Ida Claire in Addison. From there, the two discovered they had a shared love of fried chicken, college football, and stand-up comedy. Mid-second date, Jess was sure Wade was not into her. After the second date, Jess was confident she was living a certified Sandra Bullock rom-com as it became increasingly more apparent this was the man she would marry. As the months went on, Wade knew he was going to propose on Jess' 30th birthday. Knowing good-and-well she was reluctant to leave her twenties, he wanted to make her birthday extra special. Jess was sure he was going to ask her to marry him that day. Wade bought Jess a DIY succulent set {that she wanted} and she was confident this is when it would happen. He set out all of the necessary materials and she dug through everything only to find copious amounts of SandArt and dirt. Officially certain it was not happening today, Jess decided to watch some Netflix and, now in her "old" age, take a nap. Wade was adamant that she has one more gift to open...which was a travel bag she picked out herself. While pretending to act surprised, Wade asks Jess to put on the backpack. When she stood up, he got down on one knee and promised to make her 30th birthday one she will always remember. She said yes and the rest is history! Jess and Wade cannot wait to celebrate with friends and family!
