On March 5th, 2020, 6 days before COVID rocked the globe, Katie & Alex both made plans with their future officiant, Tayler Pauls. Little did Tayler know that a casual introduction made at a sandwich shop would lead to a wedding in Vermont 4 years later. It all began at Sam LaGrassa's in Downtown Boston. Tayler was with her friend, Alex, and they just finished a workout class and had asked Katie if she wanted to meet them for lunch. Tayler asked what Katie wanted for lunch (Reuben, of course.) Alex then proceeded to be the gentleman that he is and buy all 3 of them lunch. He noticed Katie was wearing SoulCycle gear from head to toe and he found out they were both into the cult-like cycling classes. Their first date was the following week on a Monday after work. They went to SoulCycle, got smoothies and sat on the Pier steps that overlooked the city. Alex asked if they could hang out again. Katie said, 'of course'. With the world on lockdown, they had nothing better to do than watch Tiger King, attempt Whole30, fall in love, etc. Alex cooked Katie homemade Bolognese on their second date and it was love ever since! Katie & Alex now live in South Boston with their pride and joy, Pancake.
