His version: We met in 2010 and were in the same cohort at Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research. We took many classes together and participated in the same activities. No romantic interest at that time though I had always found her attractive and continued to grow as friends and give mutual support through school and well after. Fast forward to 2017, hanging out, many talks about life, then I took a shot and we are now engaged to be married. Hers: Vince and I initially met in graduate school at Bryn Mawr College where we both pursued degrees in Social Work August 2010. Through out our time there a great mutual friendship developed between class time, computer lab, social work conference trips, random chat sessions in the library and study days and/or nights that ran back into day again. We have always had a great chemistry and lengthy conversations about life all around. We both ended up starting and finishing graduate school the same time as well. Thank God we made it out alive May 2013! Outside of graduate school we did at times find ourselves in the same social circle due to our involvement in Greek life activities with his fraternity (Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.) and my sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.), which created even more fun memories along the way. Time went on and some years passed in the friendship when doing our normal routine hang outs this time around my birthday June 2017 Vince treated me to dinner and catch up chat. Little did I know, but others clearly saw Vince's vibe. I fully ignored signs initially and did not see he had an eye on me. So our later hangouts were apparently dates I did not realize until later. Also all his spit fire questions (normal to us) were actually this time his probing to gauge my level of interest. Then one day he just burst out "I have to tell you something. I've liked you for a long time..."shocked,but faltered. I agreed to dating at a slow pace, he agreed and here we are!
His version: I knew when she announced that we were going to Paris for a wedding at the beginning of 2018 that I had to propose in the City Of Love, It's Paris. Timing of when was difficult, but I knew it had to be something memorable. We decided to go to the Eiffel Tower the day before we were scheduled to leave. When we got there. In typical Sheena fashion, questions and suggestions on where we should go. After souvenir shopping, we decided to make our way back to our hotel. Before getting too far away and me trying to find a bathroom. I used a distracted, Sheena calling for Uber while right before the Eiffel Tower Light Show to pop the question. In typical Sheena fashion, questions and delayed reaction. She said, Really for 5 minutes before reality sunk in. Her version: That's what He Said. ;-) Well...I'll save the real details in between, but yes basically like that. ;-) However, I was very shocked of the timing and by the Eiffel Tower Night light show immediately after never would have thought this would be my souvenir returning back to USA!!!
