Bride
Ah, the bride-to-be. It's her big day! She's anxiously waiting to say "I do" in front of all her family and loved ones. The Virgo in her is hoping everything goes smoothly the day of... it's not like she's been planning this day since she was six.
Groom
Jonah, the dashing groom! Of course, he's thrilled for the big day! Never mind that the wedding is on a Sunday, usually reserved for his 100-mile bike rides, rain or shine. Nope! He's saving his leg strength and all of his electrolytes for that first dance!
Bride escort
Christian is Victoria's oldest son who has the honor of walking his mother down the aisle since her father, Eric, is no longer here with us. If Chris is anything like his grandfather, he's going to require Victoria to finish all of her chores before heading out of the house.
Ring Bearer
They're entrusting their precious rings with Luke, the one-year-old who thinks everything he touches belongs in his mouth. What could possibly go wrong?
Maid of Honor
Nish is Victoria's younger cousin. When it was time for Victoria to visit her grandmother's house in the summer, Nish was usually at the house. They'd play Barbies, go roller skating, or go to the large park with the wooden playground and hot metal slides that would burn their lower extremities thanks to the hot Virginia sun. Victoria remembers Nish being like a summer sister to her. Nish probably remembers having to call Victoria, Miss Toria, or she wouldn't let her play with the nice Barbies.
Bridesmaid
Michell is one of Victoria's oldest friends. Oh no, they're the same age, they just went to kindergarten together. Victoria's fondest memories of Michell were hanging out at Keep Street where they'd play Amplitude on PS2, order Pizza Hut, and play with her dog "Poderoso." Victoria loves to tell the story of Michell in the red dress. Ask her about it!
Bridesmaid
Emily and Victoria have known each other since 2002. They became best friends in 2009 when their kids were infants. Emily has some crazy stories about Victoria when they were in their 20s, especially tales from Chris Michael's Nightclub and Luna Lounge. Do Victoria a favor...keep Emily away from the mic during the toast!
Bridesmaid
Husnanur is Victoria's friend who she met while working at Dominos back in 2015. Hus is a great friend and incredibly good at keeping a secret. She was able to keep Victoria from finding out Luke's gender for over two weeks! If anyone really knows Victoria, Hus may be entitled to compensation.
Mother of the Bride
Marita, a.k.a. Nana, is the mother to the bride. She was the one who orchestrated the meeting between Victoria and Jonah. Luckily Victoria's stubbornness lost out on Marita's wit. She took one look at Jonah and knew Victoria wouldn't be disappointed with her signing her up for those dance lessons. Now maybe Victoria will stop mentioning sending her to "Shady Acres."
Mother of the Groom
Victoria, affectionally known as Vic, is the mother of the groom. She's got a big heart and is adored by everyone in the family for her thoughtfulness and how she loves her grandchildren. I know what you're thinking, Jonah married someone with the same name as his mother? It's ok. Victoria, the bride, thinks Freud's theories are nuts.
Flower Girl
Carter is Jonah's 4-year-old niece. The last time Jonah saw her she was super impressed by his drawing skills. He only had to draw Jupiter and Saturn like 9 times before she decided she could draw them herself. She even drew his bride surfing down one of Saturn's rings, while it was on fire. Jonah assured Victoria that they extinguished the fire. They all had a blast that day coloring and drawing!
Flower Girl
Ali is a family friend of Victoria. Victoria learned how to braid when Ali bravely allowed her to practice on her hair. Victoria has fond memories of the beach, Dorney Park, and Six Flags trips, throwing her mini-birthday parties at the house, and mall shopping sprees that included making slime. Now that Ali is older they don't get a chance to hang out as much, but Victoria plans to kidnap her over the summer and ignore the fact that she's taller than her now.
