We met online, Hinge to be exact. Victoria was just about ready to quit going on any more dates when James's profile appeared. She found his story about going to the wrong 99 restaurant location to be quite funny. (In his defense, there are two different 99 locations in Woburn). He messaged back the rest of the details in the story and we easily started talking after that. About a week later, James was nervously running late to our first date, but he did communicate this ahead of time, and he considered rescheduling. Thankfully, he did not. We stayed until Burton's closed down that night talking non-stop. Later that night, we already had our second date scheduled!

Victoria had been nagging James to propose since they moved in together. Little did she know that he had a whole plan. Maria, one of Victoria's best friends, called her and insisted on knowing what Victoria was wearing out to dinner. James took her out to a nice dinner with a waiter who gave us a wide berth of space. Victoria thought it was great, but James seemed to be a nervous wreck. When they got home, Victoria wanted to change into comfy clothes for cake, but James said he was going to stay in nice clothes. As she reached the top of the staircase, she saw candles, balloons, and pictures and she loudly said, "This screams engagement vibes!". James was able to recover and made it through opening gifts and when he slid down on one knee and opened the ring box, Victoria was shocked and grabbed her ring out of the box. A few hours later, she had to ask if she said yes to his question.
